February is usually a month when active gardeners get a little stir-crazy for something to do in or for the garden. We have given you ten garden chores for February that can be done outdoors, as well as ones that can be performed in the barn, basement, or garage.
By paying special attention to your landscape, you can determine what plants will and will not need watered when dealing with drought. Play close attention to newly planted trees and shrubs. Since they do not have an established root system their ability to obtain moisture will be limited.
Bed cleanup will be a little tricky as well as the deadheading. Leaves, sticks, and other debris must be removed before mulching begins. Clean out the debris and pull weeds.
